I love telling of the acronym for bible: Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, because that is true. When we got a new game and opened it up there were all these pieces and parts. If we started to play before reading the instructions using the picture on the box and/or what we knew from others, it usually ended up in an argument. One person would make a move that another person would challenge saying, "you can't do that". Followed by a "Yes I can, that is how we play it". Eventually someone will say "Let's just read the instructions and settle this". I compare the game of life similarly in that we should read the makers instructions to be able play together harmonously. God graciously gave us the rules so that we can all win the game together. What makes us think that we can play the most important game of all without knowing the rules? I don't know about you but I do not like playing with others that make up their own rules as they go along. It always ends up with bickering and strife. I only enjoy playing with others that have read the instructions and are willing to abide by them. In the game of life when playing with others, we plead for them to obey the game maker's instructions telling them what the rules say or else we don't want to play with them any longer. This game we call Life on Earth is so much more enjoyable when we know and obey the instructions that God has given us. All glory, honor and praise to Him, forever. Amen.
