Hey ya'll. Please allow me to ramble on my personal mountaintop experiences. I heard that a young man had led his first person to the Lord, so I congratulated and cheered him on. Then he told me he had led six more people to the Lord since. Of course, we know that we only plant and water the seed of God and that it is He who brings the increase. I recall that on my first mountaintop experience, I lingered enjoying the view and the feeling. After a while though I felt something stinging my legs and realized I was standing on an ant mound! I asked the Lord, "Why!" and he said, "I instructed the ants to let you stay seven days and if you had not left, they could make you get off their mound". Well, my next mountaintop was a little higher like a pitching mound, but I knew not to linger too long this time. Climbing our personal mountaintops are exercises to strengthen us for the next higher one. I guess that gives meaning to going from glory to glory. Remember that to linger too long there can easily turn to pride instead of to giving the glory to God with thanksgiving.
PS. God gives a description of the spirit of pride in Job 41 and names it, leviathan.
