I thought I would share a message I heard on salvation as a benefits package. Frankly, I don't understand the full magnitude of it all, but in a nutshell, most Christians only define salvation as being saved from going to hell. Then they must just be good as they wait until they die to receive the reward. But the word reveals there is much more, like rebirth and becoming a new creation, in Christ. Whereas our spirit man is healed of being blind, deaf and dumb so that it can now see, hear and speak the things of God through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who is our helper, comforter and wise counselor. We also receive a promotion to a position above the angels when we are in Christ Jesus and He is in us. Hebrews 1:14 says angels are ministering spirits to those who shall be heirs of salvation. We know angels harken to the word of God and once spoken we can send them forth to minister on our behalf. They are made available to go ahead of us to war for us, to make our crooked places straight or to protect our households. Remember, angels are assigned to the redeemed in Christ, if only we would send them.
